Via Variety: Peter Berg is now attached to direct “Father’s Day” adapted from the book by Buzz Bissinger.
Father’s Day” marks a departure for Bissinger, whose other works include “Shooting Stars,” co-written by Miami Heat star LeBron James, and “3 Nights in August,” which explores professional baseball management. The author’s latest book, published in May by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, centers around his relationship with his twins, one of whom has serious intellectual handicaps. Book chronicles a summer road trip taken by father and son and the personal journey that helps Bissinger better understand his child.
